Privacy Policy
QuietSignal (“the app”) is built to handle as little of your information as possible. There is no account and no server. The developer does not collect any of your data.
What we don’t collect
- There is no sign-up. We never ask for your name or email address.
- The developer runs no servers for the app.
- The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs.
Notification content
The app never reads or stores the title or text of other apps’ notifications. It only notes when signals were sent and how many.
Data kept on your device
The following is stored only on your iPhone (in the app’s App Group container) and is never sent to the developer:
- The apps you choose, your signal styles, and your settings
- When signals were sent, and how many
- If you use Weather signals: the city you set, and the most recently fetched weather and place name with the time it was fetched
Location and weather
Only when you use Weather signals, the app sends the following to Apple services:
- If you allow location access (“While Using the App”): your current location is sent to Apple Weather (WeatherKit) to get the weather, and to Apple Maps to get a place name.
- If you choose a city in Settings: the city name you enter is sent to Apple Maps to find the place, and the weather for it is fetched from Apple Weather (WeatherKit).
This is used only to show the weather. The developer never receives or stores your location or city. For how Apple handles this data, see Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Purchases
Buying and restoring Pro Lifetime is handled by Apple (the App Store). The developer never receives your payment information.
Deleting your data
All of the app’s data lives on your device. Deleting the app deletes all of its data.
